This little stinker is turning into a little kid! Right before our eyes. He is now signing more, all done, drink, please, thank you, and help. He can climb all the way up the slide and turn himself around at the top so that he slides down backwards on his tummy. He can follow directions like, "go to your chair" or "go to your bed--it's nap time," and he definitely knows that his shoes go on his feet (and tries to put them on). He knows that all good things come in plastic wrappers (thanks to the stocking stuffers we received at Christmas), and if he can get his hands on a plastic-wrapped thing, he is eager to bring it to me, signing please as fervently as he can.
He wakes up every single night at 11 PM and cries for a few minutes and puts himself back to sleep. Why does he do that? Every night. 11 PM.

He is still rear-facing in the car (for now). He doesn't hate the car like Lucy did at this age, but he's not a huge fan. I bought a mirror for him, and that has at least given me peace of mind sometimes when he's crying. It's also helpful to know when he's sleeping--though Lucy has become pretty reliable at reporting that sort of information. We're in the market for a new car seat so that we can put the three kids all side by side. THREE!! Can you believe it??

He's a little bit ticklish. Not as much as Lucy was at this age. He is a thinker. He likes to figure things out. He likes puzzles and trying to fit the right shape of block through the lid and into the bucket. He LOVES music and is a dancer already. Even my singing a Capella around the house gets him spinning in circles. He just loves to dance.
And that's all I've got for now!
Oh man, I'd love to see a little clip of him dancing!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I should take one!! I've had issues lately with trying to upload videos to the blog... I should try again, though.
