Preschool Jokes and Sunday Afternoon Rest Time

Sunday afternoons are usually quiet.  Rest time is sacred.

Daniel and I don't always get a nap in, but those (hopefully) quiet couple hours after lunch are some of the best of the entire week.

Lucy woke up with a fever this morning.  Not a high one, but she's a little subdued nonetheless.  Except when the Tylenol kicks in, and then she's pretty much herself.

One of her favorite new phrases is ''pretty cool.''  She seems to be 85% little girl and %15 toddler now.  And by that I mean that the completely irrational, whining fits are down to a small minority of the time, and mostly she's delightful, conversational, and playful.  She and Elliot love to ''tell jokes'' back and forth.

Lucy's current favorite ''joke'' goes something like this; There was a baby.  Who lived inside another baby.  And the baby threw up in the baby.  And the other baby said, ''no-no, baby! No-no."  Elliot has his own version involving daddies.  He tells it in a manner identical to Lucy's and waits expectantly for laughter when he finishes the joke.  It's pretty cute.

They're both completely adorable.  We have so much fun with them.
