Charlie (or as we like to call him, "Charlie Bear") is three months old. He's delightful. A HUGE smiler and big on the eye contact. He is even ticklish (already!) and laughs this choppy, uncomfortable sounding laugh when you tickle his thighs or his neck or chest. He looks worried when you do it, but he also does kind of smile and do that funny laugh. Even his feet are ticklish.

He's got excellent head control. He's pretty happy in the bumbo seat... even for 45 minutes at a time. It's pretty remarkable. It does cause him to spit up, though, so that's kind of a bummer.

He is a noisy eater. It's embarrassing, feeding him during Bible Study. He makes So. Much. Noise. He doesn't really maintain suction well while feeding, so he swallows a ton of air and has to burp about every 4 minutes. It's pretty inconvenient. But he's gaining weight nicely, so it's kind of a "non-problem" type of problem.

He's had about a million upper respiratory infections. The poor guy probably has no idea what it's like to breathe without snot in your nose. He caught a cold this week and has been pretty miserable during the day, wanting to be held a lot. But in general--before the onset of this cold--I would say he's an easier baby than before. He's reasonably happy being put down for 10 or 15 minutes at a time, and he loves having Lucy talk to him when I've set him down somewhere.

He likes to suck on his hands. His favorite part (err... parts, I should say really) of the day is getting his diaper changed. He loves having his diaper changed. He gets so happy and grinny. His eyes are beautiful. People comment on it. Love his handsome face.

Charlie, you are our little cutie pie. We are crazy about you and are so glad to have you in our family. The kids love you. We love you.
