Asher's Newborn Portraits

Remember how I invested in my newborn portrait education with the purchase of Stephanie Cotta's Newborn Posing Guide?

Last weekend I put my new knowledge to work, for the 2nd time.  (Click to play the above video)

These are my favorites.  I meant to get a pull-back shot, but I totally forgot.  Next time.

Isn't he adorable?  He was born at 35 weeks, just 6 lbs and 3 oz.  But actually, that's a pretty hefty size for a 35 weeker!

Carrie introduced me to this awesome fabric store on the sketchy side of Dallas.  I love this knit.  I need to make a headband out of it for baby girls.  I made the hat in like 10 minutes.  It's a little sticky-uppy at the top, but that's ok.  I still like it.

I used this session to build my portfolio, so I went through about 8 background changes, which was a lot!  But thankfully he stayed deep asleep for some of the changes.

All in all, I'm really proud of this shoot and am looking forward to the rest of the newborn portrait sessions I have lined up this year!
