Nine Months Old (Elliot's Monthly Photo)

I am just a teensy bit late with this month's photo, but better late than never, right?

So many changes this month!  Elliot has started clapping!

Also, he wants to feed himself everything.  If it can't be grasped with his own two fingers, it is just about not worth eating.  Exceptions to this are peanut butter (by the spoonful) and yogurt.

Elliot has discovered the DVD player in the car.  He cranes his neck all the way around so he can see it.

He is such a happy baby!  He crawls around the house laughing most of the day.  And he is absolutely tickled by Lucy.  She loves trying to make him laugh and greets him every morning with either, "Good moooooorning, Eyot!" or "Hi, baby bo-ee!  Hi.  Seet baby bo-ee."  He loves it.

He is crouching all on his own now.  Sometimes he even stands for a few seconds without support, and then he lowers down to the floor.

We're having some success with potty training.  We're nowhere near 100%, but we have easily 3-7 successes per day.  He's in diapers for part of the day, in underwear for part of the day, and nekkid the rest of the day.  It's fun that Lucy is supportive of his potty training efforts.  She will routinely say, "Yay, Eyot!" after he goes in the potty.

Elliot, you are a joy.  You are the happiest baby I've ever seen.  We love you and can't wait to get to know you more.

  1. Oh my, laughed out loud at "sweet baby boo-ee!" You know? I think he favors Heather a little in these photos...am I seeing things? Also...his own "two" fingers? Pointer and thumb? So stinking cute. Baby laughter turns a whole day around.

  2. So true :). You're right - I think he does favor Heather. He has her ears :). And a little bit of her eyes. Thanks for commenting -- miss you.
