Fourteen Months (Elliot's Monthly Photo)

Elliot is continuing to sign more and more.  He has taken to joking with us--in the form of pretending to bite our toes and fingers!

He loves carrying around his soft giraffe toy from his beloved Sadie.  He has become even more proficient at seeking out carbohydrates -- if there is a cracker or piece of bread within 20 feet, he will find it.

He's babbling more, trying out word sounds like "quack" (for What does a duck say?) and "hot!" at meal times.  He loves to hug his baby doll (read: Lucy's baby's doll).  Even Lucy refers to it now as "Elliot's baby".

It's cold outside, and he loves to burrow into our necks as we carry him to the car and into the house.  It is so cute.  He also loves to bring us his socks and shoes, and then he squats down and pats his feet.  He's just beginning to understand the concept of hide-and-seek and is enjoying playing along when we play it with Lucy.  Just this past week he's begun holding his shirt up over his face and waiting for us to say, "where's Elliot??" before he whips it back down to show us his smiling face ("There he is!").

He is such a fun and smart little boy!!  We are loving watching his personality emerge more and more. I can't believe how grown-up he looks in these latest monthly photos.  Like a little boy.  We love you, Elliot.
