The test is finally over! It was brutal. I'll find out the results in a couple weeks. But I'm relieved to have it over, pass or fail.

The to-do list before baby gets here is long. It includes planning 3 parties I'm hosting this summer, planning a trip to Europe (scheduled for July), 2 photography sessions, making curtains for the big kids' room, de-cluttering our bedroom, and doing some PA-related licensing business.

But the test is over, and all of those other activities are, at least, able to be crossed off the list as I finish them. I guess "slowing down" is not the right title for this blog post, but it's what came to mind. I'd like to slow down. As I cross these items off the list, they'll be done, and I won't put anything else in their place. I need to make space for baby#3. Emotional space. Mental space. Not long now -- 2 weeks till the due date.

I took the kids to a clothes store today so Lucy could pick out a present for the baby -- a baby girl outfit and a baby boy outfit. I think we'll wrap up both so that she can give the baby the present right away after the birth. The baby has a gift for her, too!

We'll have a little cake to celebrate the baby's birth day. I'm excited. Hopefully baby doesn't come smack in the middle of the night -- it would be nice if Lucy and Elliot were awake not long after the birth (because that's when the birth photographer will be there). But we'll see! Baby will come when baby comes.
I hope you get a bit of a slow down here at the end of this pregnancy. Hopefully all your projects and planning will be inspirational and life-giving and a chance to "rest" by doing :-)
