Easter came early this year. We are in San Antonio for a cousin's Indian wedding celebration -- with ceremony taking place Easter Sunday morning and various festivities to follow.

So we met up with Daniel's family on Friday evening and spent all day today celebrating Easter, enjoying each others' company, and eating good food.

After opening the surprises in their Easter baskets, including the popular egg-shaped sidewalk chalk--the kids enjoyed dying Easter eggs. Lucy is an egg lover. And a salt lover. She enjoyed dyeing the eggs but thoroughly enjoyed eating said eggs with salt afterward.

Around lunch time we got the kids ready for a walk to a nearby park, where the Easter bunny had hidden some treasure-filled eggs for the kids to find.

Elliot and Lucy weren't that into the eggs, until they realized some of them contained chocolate.

But most contained non-candy goodies, and they were pleased with those, too.

After naps the girls colored, and we all enjoyed some down time.

It's remarkable the range of emotions experienced by a toddler in a given day. I would be exhausted if I experienced them like Lucy does. Actually, these days I'm pretty exhausted anyways, regardless of my emotional state.

Nana came over for dinner, and we enjoyed eating in the backyard and then after-dinner magic tricks by the "big kids".

The baby boys were fascinated/scared of a tiny little dog next door.

Happy Easter! He is risen!
