Easter morning began with a mad rush to pack up the car, get the kids dressed, and then a quick drive over to Daniel's cousin's traditional Indian wedding.

The wedding was a really interesting experience, and I'm glad we were there. Indian weddings are long. I was SO proud of the kids. They did awesome. Better than me, almost.

Both kids stayed busy with the little sachet of nuts provided each guest during the ceremony.

... And then we enjoyed traditional Indian (vegetarian) food for lunch immediately following the ceremony.

I was disappointed we weren't able to stay for the evening reception, but we had to get back home before it got too late, with Daniel working in the morning.

Actually, though we hadn't planned on getting there in time, we were able to make it to dinner with my parents!

That was a treat, and the kids got to participate in another Easter egg hunt!

This past weekend was challenging and busy, but also good. I'm looking forward to a quieter Easter next year with a sunrise service.

But It was good to see both sides of family, and it was nice listening to a sermon in the car on the way back to Dallas with Daniel.
