Wow I almost missed this month. Updates from the little guy:
Oliver is still our little screech owl. The shrieking has increased to truly startling frequency and volume. As he has discovered more things that he wants, shrieking has become his main method of "asking" -- but he also shrieks when he's delighted and having fun.

We are working on the shrieking.
The other day Oliver got down from the table and took his plate to the trash, shook it over the trash until the food fell off, and then put it in the sink. It is amazing what he's picked up on because of the big kids he watches constantly.
He's interested in potty training and actually pulls at his diaper to get it off so he can sit on the little potty. He loves taking the diaper trash from the changing table to the kitchen trash. It's often too heavy for him to lift high enough for the trash, but he loves trying.

He's out of his high chair now and into a "junior chair" from Ikea. He requires some assistance getting into it, but he's really enjoying trying to climb into it himself and feeling like one of the big kids at the table.

He bites. He tries to snag a little piece of your clothes between his teeth, because he thinks it's hilarious. But often he ends up with a tiny piece of your skin along with the clothes, and it hurts! He's good at "apologizing" with a sweet kiss.

He seemed sort of delighted to sit in time out this past weekend, like he sees the big kids do. Daniel said he sat there like a champ. Want to know why he was sent to time out? For shrieking.

That's all I got for this month! I need to update again soon with his seventeen month photo -- goodness time is flying by right now!
