Date Night at the Park

Friday night is usually date night, although I have been lazy about finding babysitters in advance, so our last several date nights have been rather spur-of-the moment.

That said, we had a lovely family date night at the park the other evening.  Cottonwood Park in Richardson is just lovely, with ducks and a big creek and lots of huge trees.

We picked up gyros and hummus from a local Greek place my sister introduced me to the other day.  Lucy was a big fan of both the gyro meat and the fresh pitas.

When it comes to bread, she doesn't mess around - she's usually got two big fistfuls.

I intended for this outing to be a portrait session, but I left Lucy's sweet outfits at home.  And then, slowly, I realized that it's impossible to take a family portrait with no one behind the camera to attract baby's attention.

So the effort was pretty futile.  But at least we now have updated quasi-good photos of each of us with Lucy.

So that is a plus.

Two days till our first appointment for baby #2, and I can't wait.  I want to schedule the ultrasound prontisimo, so that we'll know a more accurate due date (Hypnobabies correction = "guess date").
