We are mid-way through the process of child-proofing the living room. A little late, I realize, since Lucy is fully into everything.
Although I was enjoying the realization today that at least she's not yet climbing.
I'm not so much looking forward to when she can climb on chairs and desks.
The media center under the TV has been barricaded for the past month, but it barely slows her down.
Luckily, that won't be a problem for much longer. Once we get the apothecary media console finished, all my problems will be over. Hah.

I love this look. I love dressing this girl. It's so fun.
And I'm enjoying it while it lasts, since before long she'll have a strong opinion about everything she wears.
It seems like Lucy has recently begun to understand that the pages of books are fun to look at, not just flip open and closed. She's not fully to the phase where she enjoys being read to for more than 10 seconds, but we're getting closer.
What a little cuddle bug she can be sometimes. When she's not clawing at our noses. This might be the only photo of me holding her while wearing earrings. It's usually a terrible idea, and I end up removing them before I've had her in my arms a full minute.
Lucy loves playing with her cousin Jack. Being dragged across the floor on a blanket is fun, fun, fun for her.
Meal time is also a much-loved activity. She eats everything with gusto. There's something so satisfying about feeding an enthusiastic eater. I'll have to remember the feeling when she's 2 and only wants cheese.
Actually, I think she would have climbed into the dishwasher given half a chance. She is at such a fun stage with how quickly she's learning and changing.
ReplyDeleteIn the photo across from the sketched baby, she looks just like the other baby!
