Lucy Lynn is an official toddler. She is walking all over the place now, still falling every once in a while but mostly ambulating flawlessly. She has become sort of affectionate with us, kissing when we ask for "un beso" about 1/3 of the time. She is very affectionate with stuffed animals and baby dolls though. She loves them.

She's still napping twice/day (9:30 AM and 3 PM), and bedtime is between 7 and 8. I thought babies were supposed to sleep like babies - but she sleeps more like a hyper-vigilant mom of teenagers. I wish she were a heavier sleeper.
She gets a bottle of milk before bed but otherwise is mostly drinking water from sippy cups during the day. She's going strong with the pacifier - and although I'd hoped to wean her from it by age 1, I've decided it's not our biggest priority. And it probably won't make the difference between braces or no-braces in the long run.
She's saying the following words: uh-oh, bye-bye, dada, mama, and up.
She's signing the following words: eat, milk, all done, bye-bye, dada, diaper, bath, and ball.
I love, love, love this sound she makes when she's happy or sad, "Wee-ooh-wee-ohh-wee-ooh-wee-ooh." It sounds particularly cute/pathetic when she's sad and sort of crying/saying it.
She's definitely showing her sense of humor more these days. She loves to make people laugh by pretending to suck on their toes - or her own. And she loves being tickled - particularly she likes "The Itsy Bitsy Spider." But the song we use to calm her down the most is "Jesus Loves Me." We sing that song a lot in the car, when she is most sad.
I wonder what she will think of baby #2. We need to pick out a name! Elliot, Harrison, Kester, Simon, Brant, and Paxton are still in the running.
Happy 13 Months sweet Lucy
