Twenty-Three Months Old (Lucy's Monthly Photo)

ONLY ONE MORE OF THESE to do after this one!  Awesome.  And bitter-sweet.



She's almost 2.  And you can tell.  She's acting like a 2-year-old.  But a really precious one.



She is so verbal now.  I can understand almost all of what she says.  I would say a stranger might understand about 1/2 of it.  But she is constantly making new associations and finding patterns.  One of her favorite recent activities is finding things around the house that belong to this or that person and bringing the items to their owners.  She is still learning to use "mine" appropriately -- not to ask for something or to offend little visitors who might come over to play. 



She's opening and closing doors now.  At least all the ones that are properly aligned and can close. 



She's not particularly picky when it comes to eating.  Actually, she eats almost everything.  She loves macadamia nuts.  I try not to think of them as "trachea plugs," which is what they look like to me. 



She loves trying on clothes and has gotten pretty good at it!  She still needs help getting shirts and dresses off, but she can get most tops and dresses on, and even some pants. 



She likes to give me updates throughout the day about who everybody is and where they are.  (Ex: Mommy!  Lucy!  Daddy--bye, bye...wuk.  Elliot--ahpping.  Jack--bye,bye.  Gin--bye,bye)

She is so, so fun.
