Our First Outing as a Family of Five

We had a birthday party to go to last weekend, on Saturday. 



Oliver was only 6 days old, but I really wanted to be there -- so the five of us (plus Daniel's mom Becky) piled into the car for our very first outing as a family of five! 



Oliver did splendid in the car, God bless him.  At least so far, he is not a screamer in the car like his big brother and sister were.  We'll see if I'm speaking too soon.



The kids--mostly Lucy loved getting to swim. 
 

Lucy is all about jumping off the steps and swimming as far as she can get before flipping over to rest and breathe. 



She went down the slide one time, and that was enough for her. 



Elliot wasn't having the swimming. 



He didn't want to be too far away from me and Oliver, and then there weren't any steps for him to sit on to get used to the water.



Nonni was a huge help with the kids, and I just sat and rested during the party.  All in all, I'd call it a successful first outing! 

 

I am a little nervous about my first outing with all three kids, but thankfully that is not yet on the calendar... and won't be for at least a week or two.
