Waiting

We are now 5 days past the guess date, and baby seems snug and unconcerned with things like tardiness and increasing head circumference.

Unlike with Elliot at this point... I do not keep thinking, "Is this it?? Is this it?" I think we'll be waiting a couple more days, at least.

 Everything is finished.  There is nothing on the calendar for the next couple weeks.  There are several things on the calendar for the end of the month... and next month... and the month after that.

Future cousins!  My sister-in-law, Heather--celebrating her first Mother's Day!

 But for the next couple days, we are just waiting.  And for the next couple weeks, we'll be getting acquainted with baby #3.  And that feels so nice.

I haven't been nearly as diligent with practicing Hypnobabies this time around, but I'm hoping/thinking it's like riding a bicycle.

 I was decently diligent with practicing before Lucy's arrival, and it served me so well during her birthing time.  I'm mostly looking forward to this time around.

 I keep trying to re-clean the house so that it's nice and peaceful when baby's definitely on his/her way.

But with a 2-year-old and a 1-year-old... and with being 40+ weeks pregnant, I think I've finally come to terms with how unrealistic a goal it is.

I've narrowed my focus to only our bedroom.  If that one room can look sort of put-together, I think I'll feel good about it.

I don't know if it's because they can sense a change in the winds and are anxious... or because I am subconsciously anxious (and consciously uncomfortable) and have a shortened fuse... but it has been an exceptionally difficult past few days with the kids.

Their behavior and attitudes lately make them almost unrecognizable to me.  If I observed their behavior in other kids, I would quietly assume their parents weren't into discipline.

It has been really challenging.  And for that reason, I do hope baby is on the way soon.

Well, for that reason and simply because we are anxious to meet baby#3 and to find out boy or girl!
