These photos have been on my short list of photos-I-have-GOT-to-post-before-another-day-goes-by. They were taken in February when Grandma and Grandpa (Daniel's mom's parents) came over for a visit.

It's fun and strange to interact with Daniel's grandparents. I don't recall my own grandparents playing with me the way Daniel's grandparents do. We certainly don't have any pictures of it, if they did.

Grandma is an awesome hide-and-seek player. She's a hide-and-seek enthusiast, from what I could see.

Grandma, at one point, got fully hidden in a crouch on the floor beside the couch, well out of view of the kids during that round of hide-and-seek. The kids were tickled when they finally found her, and she insisted on getting up all by herself. She explained that she had a "method" for getting up and implied the rest of us would just mess her up if we tried to help.

Grandpa, as it turns out, is a master boo-boo kisser.
He kissed many, many boo-boos while he was here, for all three kids.

Oliver was not as enthusiastic about walking back in February, but Grandpa was determined to get him to try.

We enjoyed some craft time for the big kids while Grandpa fed Oliver.
I can't believe we were spoon feeding him only a couple months ago!
Besides his morning yogurt, he wants to pick up everything himself these days. We had beef stroganoff last night, and he was perfectly happy to get the sauce all over his hand and lick it off.

This was such a nice visit.
And on a totally different and random note, add this to the things that never happened when Lucy was a baby. Boddle-fed by a 2 year old while watching Disney TV on a bean bag. Yeah, he's definitely a third.

These are some great pics. Thanks for capturing them and posting-- I always love reading your commentary. I hadn't seen the last picture-- that's priceless :).
ReplyDeleteHah :). Thanks, Daniel!
