I'm not sure why, but I've found myself taking extra little pictures of Oliver here and there for the past 2 weeks.
Maybe it's one-year milestone that has got me really noticing how he's growing out of babyhood and into toddlerhood.

He adores carrying around these little totes. I'm not sure why. But he does it every single day. Just makes him happy, I guess.

I made some tomato basil soup the other day. He loved it. Just like his big sister did way back when she was a baby.

He loves pushing this grocery cart around. It was a gift from Nana when Lucy was 18 months old, and all of the kids have just had the best time sticking stuff in it and pushing it around.

He loves, loves, loves brushing his teeth.
I find him in the bathroom at odd times of the day, just standing on the chair with his toothbrush in his mouth.

He's in such a hurry to be big like Lucy and Elliot.

He turned one on Monday. We had a pretty low-key day, but we did his cake smash that evening, just before bed. The kids got to help make the cake, which they loved.
Oliver stood there licking the batter off the mixer paddle just like one of the big kids.

As is typical for most one-year-olds, Oliver didn't love the cake smash.

It didn't help that we did it after dinner, and his tummy was pretty full of fish and broccoli.

But as a general rule, 12-month-olds who have been fed a nutritious diet don't have an appreciation for the sugar-laden, frosting covered thing we older ones like.

It took some coaxing from all of us to get him to eat any of it at all.

At least Lucy and Elliot enjoyed it.

Happy first birthday, my dear sweet boy.

Great photos, Kim, as always. Happy Birthday, Oliver!!!
