I like being a part of the mom-photographer group I'm in -- Lensbaby. But sometimes I make some seriously stupid decisions because of this group.

Today's meetup was called, "All Bundled Up." And the idea was to get cute pictures of our kids playing on the playground and adjacent field, all bundled up in their winter gear.

I attended this meet up, 30 minutes away from our house, with our four munchkins including a 2 month old. It was 41 degrees.

Elliot and another 3 year old comparing notes on their older siblings.

Charlie was not impressed with the Moby wrap. He screamed in my face probably half the time we were there. I was spotting Oliver, one-handed, as he summited a metal bar mountain about 10 feet tall. Lucy and Elliot were both calling me to look at their jumps and tricks. Oliver kept dropping his mittens all over the playground. And it was freezing.

Thankfully nobody fell from the playground equipment, nobody had to potty while we were there, and I managed to breastfeed Charlie on the go. But still... it was dumb. There are a hundred ways this play date could have gone south. There is a danger when these kinds of things don't go badly... that my subconscious will interpret it as an okay idea.

Oh well. The kids had fun, and nobody died. And I got some cute pictures of the kids out of it.
