Although I was told not to even think about Dallas while we're vacationing in Portland, I can't help it. I want to share our photos! If I wait until the end there will be too many, so I'll go day-by-day.

Wow. The weather here. I mean not to make you Texans jealous, but seriously. There is a breeze, and it is cool in the mornings and evenings. Literally every time we step outside either Daniel or I comments on it. Amazing.

I have come to the conclusion that we in Texas should have to pay less federal taxes than people in Portland, Oregon. Because I think people up here are enjoying a nicer part of the country than we do in Texas. I love Texas, but come on. Mountains, Beach, and Skiing in a 3-hour-drive-radius? Unfair.

The Lion and the Rose B&B is prettier in real-life than in the photos, but here are some to give you an idea, anyways. Our room was described by the odd innkeeper as "Grandmotherly," but I prefer to think of it as cozy and... flowery.

I think Daniel does a good job of still looking masculine next to all those flowers.

First thing we did when we got to the B&B--look for food. We found some at a lovely microbrewery (Portland is known for these) a block from the B&B.
Our favorite: the Summer Solar Crystal Whit--a seasonal specialty beer

Next stop--a movie... in a movie theater... in the middle of a weekday. Only on vacation.

Oh and get this. The teenager at the concessions stand--without us asking--filled the popcorn bag half full, added the "butter," and then filled it the rest of the way full and added more "butter!" Everything is better here in Portland, I tell ya.
