Portland, Here We Come!

What a weekend. It's been 108 degrees as late as 7 PM. I always think the summer is almost over... and then August hits. And I remember what "summer" truly means in Texas.

This week we leave for Portland!

We are splitting our trip up, staying the first 6 nights at this awesome B&B:

And the last 3 nights at this swanky down-town hotel:

The Nines

The plan is to visit the coast:
Haystack Rock, at 235 feet high, is the third largest coastal monolith in the world. We are gonna see it, at Cannon Beach.

And we're gonna see the Columbia River Gorge:

BEAUTIFUL, right?

Who knows what else we'll see. Powell's book store, lots of coffee shops, some wineries, the farmers market...

Our pictures probably won't look as cool as these. But they'll have us in them :). Can't wait! Will update when we get back.
