Pruessner Family Photo Shoot October 2011

Okay I have to tell you - I was so excited when my mom gave me a brand new black-out shade.  It was huge and unopened and perfect for photographing Lucy.



The piano room has a skylight and big windows, making it ideal for a photo shoot -- at least, in terms of lighting.  And the third and arguably most necessary piece required for this photo shoot:  the Nikon ML-L3 wireless controller, which allows you to take picture after picture without running back and forth to the camera.  Genius.



I thought it was expensive and kept putting off buying it.  Nope.  Turns out, it costs $13 on Amazon.  Which makes the cost of this photo session approximately $13.  Love that!

This was the set-up for the shoot.



My mom found this adorable headband.  They are sort of "in" right now.  So cute on a naked baby.



You know what happens when you leave a baby naked for too long?



She pees.  Good thing the blackout curtain is vinyl.  



We also took family photos for our Christmas card.  This turned out to be the most challenging part.



Out of about 400 photos, there are approximately 10 usable photos.   Here's one of them.



My friend Amy had a picture of her sweet baby Joshua (now age 10!) being held up by his two parents' hands, wearing denim overalls with a yellow background.



It must have made an impression, b/c I have not forgotten it in 9 years and couldn't wait to try it myself.
