The Quest for the Perfect Fingers

When I was a baby, I sucked my middle two fingers.  I wish I had a picture to show you, but you can take my word for it.  Lucy is decidedly not a thumb-sucker.



But she is a finger sucker.  She has been working on finding the ideal fingers to suck since almost the moment she was born.



She's getting a lot better at it! 



She doesn't miss anymore.



I love watching her figure it out.

I don't love that her fingers are usually sopping wet and cold now. 



But I love when her crying stops momentarily, and I check the video monitor to see her sucking on all four fingers.



I am so curious to see if she ends up with the two middle fingers, like me.
