Experimenting with Black Backdrops

I have been wanting a black backdrop for some time now.  Mostly for newborn photos for friends.



 I tried it out this weekend.  I couldn't wait.



And actually, we had beginners' luck. 



We tried it again the next evening, but I got the lighting wrong that time.  Unfortunate, but a learning experience. 



I love, love, love these photos and can't wait to use the background on teeny babies.  Now I just gotta make friends with some moms of teeny babies.
