We visited our good friends Joe and Sarah this last weekend. Apart from the 5-hour drive, we always love visiting them and have such a good time.
This trip was no exception, and maybe even more so than usual, because it was very low-key.
We didn't have any big plans but mostly stayed around the house, where Lucy is easiest to manage.
They have a room upstairs that is just perfect for little kids - with kid-sized table and chairs, a doll house, and lots of stuffed animals.
Lucy was happy up there.
And so were we.
On Saturday we took her to a park nearby, and she had such fun climbing on the play ground.
Her tennis shoes made the slide a little difficult to actually slide down, but they helped her in the climbing she was more interested in doing anyways.
She is such a fan of swinging. Joe and Sarah love Lucy, and it's such fun to see them with her.
There was another baby almost exactly Lucy's age swinging next to her. They became friends. Not really. But maybe they would have, if they'd had time.
We went to this cool store called Pop Family Popcorn, which is famous in the area because of its 250+ flavors of popcorn, all made on site.
There are dozens and dozens of these tubs lining the walls, with flavors varying from "dill pickle" to "wedding cake". The lady helping us not so subtly invited us to try "a few" (re-emphasizing a couple times that we're welcome to sample "two or three"). After sampling a few, we went home with the "loaded baked potato" and the "wedding cake" kinds - and they were both awesome. Their website is here, and I was told they'll ship.
Joe and Sarah, we'll miss you until next time! We love you.

She is such a fun and beautiful baby!! I'm glad you guys had a nice trip. : )
