New stuff this month:
1. Favorite words: "no" and "hot" and "help pees" and "more!" and "down pees!"
2. Cutest new word of the month: "cheez"
3. Favorite terrorist tactic in the car: saying "more" repeatedly in ever increasing pitch and tone until we sing (again), "Hide it under a bushel, NO! I'm gonna let it shine..."
4. Praying at the dinner table - Lucy takes this very seriously. She holds out her hands when everybody is seated at the table and doesn't try to let go until she hears "amen"
5. Climbing onto chairs! What fun.
6. Bye-bye and Nigh-nigh are SO clear and cute. She no longer cries when I leave her, she just says, "bye-bye!" Sometimes when we put her down to bed late, she is deliriously happy to finally go into her crib and smiles behind her pacifier as she says, "nigh-niiiiigh"
7. She started signing "friend" this month. And "play" That brings the signing vocabulary up to about 15.
8. Books! She loves books, all of the sudden. She's not super patient with them, but she brings them to us to read. Anything with a flap to open is a big hit.
9. She is signing "thank you" now! So fun. She did it after Daniel handed her some cheese today, even without being reminded.
10. She has discovered the joy of putting things into things and taking them out. Big hits for this include plastic bags and purses - and credit cards.
11. She discovered butter this morning. Licked it off the pancake and asked for more. What a little Edstrom she is.
12. She loves to get cereal out of the pantry and bring it to us, saying, "Hep-pees! Hep-pees!"
13. She learned how to spin in circles and is quite amused with herself when she does it.
14. She plays, "where's Lucy?" by putting her hands over her eyes and shaking her head back and forth. It is so cute.

That's all I got for now. Gosh she's such fun. Happy Tuesday! Elliot's guess date is 2 weeks from today!

Oh my oh my, so CUTE! I Love playing where's Lucy!
ReplyDeleteIt's so much fun watching her grow up! She's a pretty amazing kid. : )
ReplyDeleteAgreed! Thanks, Ginnie and Heidi!
DeleteAwww, I am glad she's started liking books! Do you have the Babies and Baby Animals board books we read when we were little? Those were special for each of my kids.
ReplyDeleteOooh, no--I need to get those! She is really starting to get into babies :)
