We had a nice Thanksgiving with Daniel's family, minus Jenn and Dave, who couldn't be in town.
But Heather was down from Oklahoma (we missed you, Justin!), and it was so nice to see her.
Sophie showed Lucy her doggy door, and Lucy was intrigued.

Very intrigued.

Lucy's Nonni and Papa have this sand box that Lucy loves. At our house she still just has the dirt pile to play with, so this sand box is something of a luxury.

I missed being with my family on Thanksgiving, but I'm glad I got to see them recently at Daniel's party.

Lucy is such an adrenaline junkie. I think it's because I was under a lot of stress when I was pregnant with her, so she became accustomed to high levels of Cortisol and/or Epinephrine coursing through her blood. That theory has almost no medical basis, but I'm sticking with it.
I am anxious to write about baby Elliot's arrival! He's only 12 hours old now, and I'm sleep deprived.

But soon there will be photos and details.

Lucy was a big fan of all the food at Thanksgiving, but she particularly liked the pies.

She has become much more cuddly in the last few days. I wonder if she sensed that Elliot was coming, and that her days as an only child were numbered. She's been signing "baby" to me lately and wanting to be held. Well, Lucy, your brother is here. You will be a great big sister. It's a rough adjustment, but you will be okay - and so will we. We'll just take it one day at a time.
