This little bugaboo has skipped ahead a couple on the milestone markers. In the last month he has taken to full-out crawling (though he prefers to bear-crawl on the hard kitchen tile) and pulling up!

He is experimenting with all kinds of nice consonants -- mostly "uh-dah! uh-dah! uh-dah!".
He is a little brick. He's so solid. He eats a ton! I have twice made a huge batch of baby food and thought to myself (or said aloud), "this should be all the baby food we need." He is such a joy to feed, because he opens his mouth wide and leans toward you and just goes bananas with the anticipation right before every bite.

He has become a teensy bit competitive for Lucy's toys. Whatever she's interested in, he's interested in. Who knew this type of sibling dynamic begins at 7 months old??
A couple months ago Elliot got much better about riding in the car. I can't remember when it happened, but he's a real trooper in there now.

We are still working on the sleep thing, but he is doing much better since we Ferberized him and exiled his hiney to the baby monitor-less other side of the house for several nights. He wakes up about once/night now to eat. It is much more doable.

Yesterday I started keeping track of his potty schedule. I'm not seriously committed to it yet, but I'm toying with the idea of initiating some elimination communication. Basically potty training for babies. I'll keep you posted on our progress.

Elliot, you are a joy. We love you, and Lucy is just tickled to be your big sister. She greets you every morning and after every nap with, "hi, eh-yit!!" or "niiii-niiii, eh-yit!" before bedtime. I'm not saying it will always be easy, but there is a definite fondness between you two.
Oh man, SO glad the sleeping is getting better! When I read about the ridiculously cute eating time, I'm squealing over here. Adorable photos, of course!
