If I could only use one word to describe this past week, it would be sick.
Elliot started the week with fever, runny nose, and messy diapers. And Lucy has finished out the week with the same symptoms, plus higher and more persistent fever.
We finally scooped her out of bed last night to take her to Pediatrics After Hours, which I ADORE.
They are there till 10 PM and are nicer than our regular doctor's office.
We picked up her antibiotics this morning, and although she's still unbelievably clingy, whiny, and desperate--I'm hoping in the next 24 hours we'll see some improvement.
If I could only use one word besides sick to describe this past week it would be preparations.
I spent a lot of this week preparing for a tea that I hosted yesterday, in honor of an expectant mom and friend of mine.
And then I co-hosted another shower yesterday afternoon for three good friends of mine. It was a busy day!
Between the showers we rushed over to my in-laws' house to visit with family in from out of town. We've spent today mostly resting.
