This week baby Oliver turned 3 months old! And a lot has changed for him in the past month!

One thing is certain: this boy has found his fingers! He is a big finger sucker these days. Lucy was like that, too--though Elliot was not. Oliver's fingers seem to suit his needs quite well -- he's still not at all into the pacifier.

Oliver is a great eater. He eats efficiently! He nurses for the last time about 8pm and then usually sleeps until around 6am. It's a nice, long, stretch.

He loves to say, "oooooh" when somebody looks at him and makes that sound. And he's ticklish! I'm not sure I've ever seen a baby this young who is this ticklish. His ribs, thighs, and feet all get him laughing when they're tickled.

He knows Daniel's and my voices and turns his head when he hears us enter the room. And he grabs for his toys with both hands now.

Just this morning during tummy time, he actually lifted his whole chest off the floor! It was the first time I'd seen him do it, and it was delightful to see the progress he's made in the past few weeks, from barely hovering over the play mat to fully lifted up!

His big sister and brother adore him. Elliot loves to come by his baby swing and say, "Hi!" to Oliver. Lucy likes to give Oliver check ups and to "squish him like a bug" -- which means she gently pushes on his tummy. She also likes helping him to burp by patting his back.

When you are the third child, there must never be a dull moment. If you lie in the middle of the floor long enough, the whole family passes by your eyes.

His life must be substantially more exciting to him at this age than Lucy's was!
I love the storytelling in these photos! What a fun, fun baby! And fun siblings ;)
