Summer Photo Catch Up

I always end up with extra photos at the end of the summer... from days I took pictures but ran out of time to post them.

I love lazy Saturdays.  It was so nice not working (as a PA) all summer.

My maternity leave ended last week.

This past Saturday and Sunday were my first days back.  They went ok.

I'm so glad today is a holiday and we can rest as a family.  It's sometimes stressful the weekends I work.

Daniel and I miss each other, and I know the kids miss me (though they do enjoy being with their Daddy).

Daniel had a tea party with them on Saturday while I was at work.  I'm told it was loads of fun.  I think I'll be repeating this activity many, many times in the coming weeks.

There is an aquatic center in Richardson that opened last year.

It's AMAZING.  I love it.  The kids love it.

It has graduated entry, a kid pool (with rocket slide), two 3-story slides (for the big kids), a lap pool, and two lazy rivers.

It's 8 minutes from our house.  Amazing.

Lucy just started wanting to wear wraps like me.  She's my mini-mi.

I found this ball pit on Craigslist for FREE.  Best find of the year.

Our Oliver holders are getting better and better every day.  It helps that he has better and better head control.

I think I mentioned it before, but lately I've been trying to encourage more imaginative play.

I don't like that most kids' toys sold now don't leave much to be imagined.  The kitchens come painted with microwaves, knobs, and decorations.  The dolls are beautiful with eyelids that close.  The toys involving balls are usually battery-operated.

Carrie found these blocks at an antique store, and I love them.  And so do the kids.

This has been an eventful summer.  Probably the most eventful summer we've had.

I can't believe the fun things we've experienced in the last 90 days.

I hope your summer was great, too.

  3. Love all the pictures! That water camera is really going to be fun, though I couldn't tell if that one of Elliot was with it or not.
