Nickie's Birthday Party

My sister turned 20-something (or 30-something? JK, Nickie, I know how hold you are) the other day, and we all went to her house to celebrate!



Heidi, we missed you (and Sally, we missed you, too)--which is why I'm posting all the pictures.  It's almost like you were there! 

 

I tried to get photos of all the cousins, but somehow I missed James completely.




This is Nickie's friend Emily, who did my make up for my wedding. 



And here's Carrie and Ben. 

Note to self: when asking people to fake a candid shot, at least one of the people in the photo should pretend to be talking.



Carrie is making princess dresses for little girls and selling them on Etsy.  Isn't this one pretty?



Thomas and Alex are cute.



The food is always so yummy at Nickie and Ryan's house. 

 


And I love how big and open her kitchen is, so the people cooking can still visit with the people snacking.

 

Everybody got a chance to visit with Elliot, which he loved.  He loves seeing smiling, happy faces right up close.

 

And he loves gnawing on people's knuckles.  He likes getting that index finger tendon between his gums and rolling it back and forth. 



It's not really comfortable for the person whose knuckle it is, but it must feel good on his gums.



Everybody went in on this camera for Nickie, and she really was excited about it!  Can't wait to start talking photography at some point.
