Once upon a time, there was a baby with terrible Rumblings in his tummy. The Rumblings were so terrible as to keep the baby awake most hours of the night. And all who lived in the kingdom with the baby with the Rumblings were so sad, because the nights were endlessly interrupted with the baby's grunting and wriggling and stinkiness.
One day, the baby seat called Bumbo decided to reveal its magic to the kingdom dwellers. Magic Bumbo had a very special, secret ability to bring the Rumblings out of the baby! Nice, long sits in Magic Bumbo seemed to convert the Rumblings into very filled-up diapers. When the tired, sad kingdom dwellers finally realized Magic Bumbo's abilities, they were so happy and hopeful. They thought their problems were solved!
Sadly, Magic Bumbo did not solve all their problems. The Rumblings still bothered the baby... and the poor kingdom dwellers. But Magic Bumbo has helped--definitely. The kingdom dwellers have now gotten a few nights with a few hours of contiguous sleep. And that is something to celebrate.

ReplyDeleteHarper had the gas and colic issues and we found that she slept best in her car seat every night! She was upright and strapped in. Apparently it was more comfortable than sleeping on her back! Love the story!
