Art for Lucy's Room: 4 of 4

The final canvas - DONE.  I got sort of stuck on it, and it took me a lot longer than I thought it would.  But it's finished now.



 I was inspired by this artist on Etsy.

I love the look of the tree, blowing in the wind.  I'm glad to see (if you go to Etsy.com, you will too) that I'm not the first to copy this design.  It's beautiful.  Props to the original artist. 

Unfortunately - - and this is a big unfortunately, the cute little pink flowers were too light and didn't provide enough contrast from the light green background.  


So I had to outline them with marker.  I didn't have any pink markers, and I was too impatient to go to the store and buy one.  So I outlined them in purple.  You can tell the difference above.  


Sometimes I'm not sure whether I blog to document my projects or if I do projects to have something to put on the blog.  


 In any case, it's nice to have a little extra motivation to finish stuff.  I'm glad this canvas is finally finished.  

 

I like how my little lamb came out.   





There is now only one project that stands in the way of me posting final before-and-after photos of the nursery room redo.  It's a lamp.  I'm going to start on it this week and will hopefully finish it by Friday. 


Generally I like how the canvas came out, but I think the space needs something else.  I'm not adding anything to the canvas.  I think I'll hang some framed pictures up on either side of the canvas, and I'm hoping that makes it look more complete.  

Any thoughts?
