Nursery Closet Update

Okay, I said I would update with more pictures once the closet was more settled, and it is!  Much more settled.  The closet originally had some fiberboard shelving and drawers installed by the family who lived here before us.  They were a great idea but had some durability issues and needed to go.

So we took 'em all out, had the closet re-painted, and built and installed our own shelving - for cubbies.  The last picture I posted showed the empty closet on paint day.  So here is the new closet!

I did end up purchasing the Ikea Drona cubbies in pink.   They were $2 more expensive (each) in the store than they would have been online, which makes me wonder what the shipping would have been for them online.  But I was impatient and just bought them at the store anyways.

I considered buying white cubbies so they would be more usable for the next baby, if the next baby turns out to be a boy.  But I decided these cubbies will probably only last a couple years anyways, since they're made of cardboard.  So pink it was.

I made labels out of some scrapbooking card stock, so they won't be too much of a pain to replace in the future with different labels

I have done so much laundry in the past couple weeks - it is unreal.

How could any baby possibly wear all of these clothes?  People were very generous at showers, and we've had some hand-me-downs from friends.  And it seemed like a mountain of clothes.

But finally almost all the clothes are washed, dried, sorted, and put away...

Just waiting for baby Lucy to wear them a few times and grow out of them.
