Experimenting in Clothes Lines

One staple for all cloth diaper-ers (apparently) is a clothes line for drying the diapers.  The BumGenius Organic All-In-Ones can take up to 2 and 1/2 hours to dry in the dryer, so a clothes line is a money and energy-saver, for sure.

I was going to do the ole twine-between-two-trees clothes line, until my sister showed me this beauty, which was less than $20 on Amazon and has the advantage of being retractable, with a sturdy line that pulls out 40 feet!

I installed it yesterday on the tree in the corner of the yard.

And attached the hook to the corner of the door frame on the shed.

Don't they look nice, all hanging there?  This photo was taken about 8 hours before a storm rolled in and completely doused them during the night.  Now they are back in the washing machine.  Sigh.

Quick Pregnancy update: Lucy is still quiet and content inside.  No indication of her coming any time soon, despite her "guess date" being yesterday.  Blood pressure's still up, but seems stable for now, and all my labs came back okay, so the midwife seems fine with waiting for Lucy to come on her own and not inducing right away (... a big relief!).  Will post news of progress when I have any to report.
